Feature Preview - Minarik Guitars
|
Next week Rocksquad begins to
revolutionize the instrument product review. Instead of paying
big money for a glossy photo or 2, and the description of the
product and what is sounds like, we are taking it to the next level.
Video footage, with each product put through the paces, 2-3
musicians using it in a variety of styles and situations, and
talking about the product features, price point in a very honest
way. We will also make high resolution photos and sound bytes
available to the companies we review. We also interview someone from
the company, to get the reader better acquainted with the company
and people behind the product.
The first piece of equipment we have the honor to review is a
Minarik Studio X-treme Orange Burst Lotus. With people like
Lemmy from Motorhead, Jak Paris, Rafael Moreira, Scarlett Pomers,
Gene Simmons and the Flairs playing Minarik guitars, there is
definitely something very special about them. See some information
on next weeks review guitar below:
Body:
Select Mahogany, Quilted Maple Top, Paua Abalone Binding
Pickups: Bridge: Tone-Perfect "All Versatile"
Neck: Tone-Perfect "All Versatile"
Hardware: Tune-A-Matic Bridge and Engraved Tail Piece, Deluxe
Imperial Step Tuners
Strings: Everly Strings
From Minaric:
This is the most technically "perfect" single cut-away guitar on
the market. The traditional single cut-away guitar is severely
lacking in left-side surface area used to grab and articulate
low-end frequency response. By incorporating Minarik Guitars
Patented "Tone tail" engineering on the bottom of the body, and
adding an additional tail on the upper left bout, the frequency
problems with the traditional single cut-away guitar have been
"corrected". The cut-away has been sharpened and enhanced to tie in
with the two other "points" on the body, giving this guitar that
signature "Minarik" design style.
We will show you what this guitar can do next week, after we film
this beauty in action. Better yet, we will put it up on the Rock
Auction with a VERY LOW reserve once we put it through the paces,
and let you all have the chance to find out yourself! |
